Slack alerts

Send conversion and saved-contact alerts from Nimriz to a Slack channel through an incoming webhook.

Availability: Slack setup is available on Growth, Professional, and Enterprise plans.

Requirements

• A Growth plan or higher.
• Permission to create or install a Slack app in the destination workspace.
• A Slack incoming webhook URL beginning with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.

Create the Slack webhook

1. Follow Slack's incoming webhook setup to create or open a Slack app.
2. Turn on incoming webhooks for the app.
3. Select Add New Webhook to Workspace.
4. Choose the channel that should receive Nimriz alerts and authorize the app.
5. Copy the generated webhook URL. Treat this URL as a secret because anyone holding it can post to the selected channel.

Nimriz accepts standard hooks.slack.com webhook URLs. GovSlack webhook URLs are not supported by this connector.

Connect Slack in Nimriz

1. Go to Integrations›Destinations›Browse catalog and choose Slack.
2. Paste the Incoming webhook URL.
3. Keep the default triggers, Conversion and Contact saved, or add other event types.
4. On Review, confirm the disclosed Slack side effect, then select Save, test, and enable.
5. Nimriz saves the destination disabled, posts a real sample alert in the selected channel, and enables delivery only when that test succeeds.

If the provider test fails, the saved destination stays disabled. Correct the webhook or Slack app, then select Retry test and enable.

Changing the webhook URL invalidates the previous test and disables delivery until the new URL passes another test.

Alert behavior

Conversion and contact-save alerts are sent immediately. Link clicks, QR scans, and card views are opt-in and use digest delivery so a busy campaign does not flood the channel.

Slack alerts use Block Kit and include bounded event summaries. They do not include raw IP addresses, complete User-Agent strings, ip_hash, credentials, or provider response text. User-controlled text is escaped and mention syntax is neutralized.

Troubleshooting

• Webhook rejected: confirm the URL starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/ and has not been truncated.
• No test alert: confirm the Slack app is still installed and the destination channel has not been archived.
• Admin restriction: ask a Slack workspace administrator to allow the app or incoming webhooks.
• Revoke access: remove the webhook from the Slack app configuration, then disable or delete the destination in Nimriz.
