PostHog Integration

You can stream click events directly into PostHog. Nimriz will automatically map properties like country, device, browser, and UTM tags to PostHog properties.

Setup

1. In your PostHog Settings, find your Project API Key and Host URL (e.g., https://app.posthog.com or https://eu.posthog.com).
2. In Nimriz, go to Settings > Integrations.
3. Click Add Integration Destination and select PostHog.
4. Enter your Project API Key and Host URL.
5. Click Create Destination.

Once active, click and scan events will appear in your PostHog project with Nimriz link and context properties and a privacy-aware distinct ID where supported.

Privacy Notes

Nimriz does not forward original IP addresses or complete User-Agent strings to PostHog. In standard privacy, Nimriz may use daily-salted pseudonymous hashes where supported by the destination mapping. In strict privacy, visitor hashes are omitted and selected granular fields such as city are reduced.

Review your PostHog project, notices, and legal basis before enabling forwarding. Do not place personal data, secrets, access tokens, or sensitive data in UTMs, custom parameters, destination URLs, or conversion payloads.
