Nimriz Partners

Overview of the partner attribution and reconciliation suite, including what it does and does not include.

What Nimriz Partners is

Nimriz Partners is a link-native partner attribution and reconciliation suite for teams running partner, affiliate, referral, creator, ambassador, agency, or channel programs.

It helps teams create partner programs, assign partners to links, preserve click-time partner context, report on traffic and conversions, and export commission-ready reconciliation data.

Use Nimriz Partners when you need to answer:

  • Which partners have active branded links?
  • Which partner or program drove a click?
  • Which partner-attributed clicks became leads, sales, refunds, cancellations, or reversals?
  • Which conversion rows should be reviewed outside Nimriz for commission reconciliation?

Nimriz keeps partner attribution tied to link and click facts. It is best for teams that want trusted reporting and exportable partner outcomes before reviewing rewards in another system.

What Nimriz Partners is not

Nimriz Partners is not payout software. It does not move money, approve commissions, collect tax forms, generate invoices, or settle balances.

Nimriz also does not provide a partner portal, hosted application forms, a public partner marketplace, or partner recruitment network. You can store lightweight partner relationship metadata and external application URLs, but partner-facing onboarding remains outside Nimriz.

Availability and access

Nimriz Partners is included on Professional and Enterprise plans.

Each workspace also needs the relevant access enabled for the surface you want to use:

  • Partner setup for programs, partners, tags, notes, and link assignment.
  • Partner reporting for traffic reports.
  • Partner conversion reporting for attributed outcome reports.
  • Partner exports for commission-ready CSV exports.

Dashboard copy may say access depends on your plan and workspace access. If you expect to see Partners but cannot, check the plan first, then ask a workspace admin or Nimriz support to confirm workspace access.

Core objects

Partners

A partner represents one affiliate, referral source, creator, ambassador, agency partner, reseller, or other relationship you want to attribute through Nimriz links.

Partner records include:

  • display name and stable key
  • lifecycle status: active, paused, or archived
  • relationship status: approved, invited, declined, banned, or deactivated
  • optional contact fields and external ID
  • optional invite metadata
  • internal tags and notes
  • a primary program, when applicable

Partner contact fields are workspace metadata. They are not a partner-login system.

Programs

A program groups partners for setup, reporting, support context, and export review. Examples include Affiliate program, Agency partners, Q4 launch referrals, Creator campaign, or Ambassador program.

Program records include:

  • name and stable key
  • optional public label
  • optional default destination URL
  • optional support email, terms URL, help URL, and external application URL
  • optional UTM and custom query defaults for partner links
  • optional reward-term metadata for external reconciliation

Program UTM defaults are link metadata defaults. Applying them to a partner link copies editable values onto the link; future program edits do not rewrite existing links or historical reports.

Partner links

A partner link is a normal Nimriz short link with an active partner assignment. Nimriz supports one active partner assignment per link so attribution stays explainable.

When a visitor clicks a partner-assigned link, future reporting can use the partner and program context captured at click time.

Setup flow

1. Create a program

Go to Dashboard → Partners → Programs, then create a program for the partner motion you want to track.

Useful first fields:

  • program name and key
  • default destination URL
  • support email, terms URL, and help URL
  • external application URL, if you collect partner applications outside Nimriz
  • optional link metadata defaults such as UTM source, medium, campaign, term, content, and custom query parameters
  • optional reward-term metadata for external reconciliation

You can start without reward-term metadata. Attribution and reporting do not require reward terms.

2. Create a partner

Go to Dashboard → Partners → Partners, then create a partner record.

Useful first fields:

  • display name and key
  • primary program
  • relationship status
  • optional contact name, contact email, and external ID
  • optional tags for internal organization

Only active partners are offered for new link assignments by default.

3. Assign the partner to links

Create a new link from the partner or program detail page, or edit an existing link and choose a partner in the link builder.

If the selected partner has an active primary program, the program context follows the partner assignment. You can optionally apply the program's link metadata defaults while creating or editing the link.

4. Confirm traffic and conversions

After partner links receive traffic, open Dashboard → Partners → Reports. The Traffic view shows partner and program click summaries. The Conversions view shows attributed outcomes when conversion tracking is configured.

5. Export conversion rows

When partner conversion data is ready for external review, request a commission-ready export from the partner conversion report, partner detail page, or program detail page.

Partner link creation and assignment behavior

Partner assignments affect future clicks only. Assigning a partner to a link does not backfill older clicks, and removing an assignment does not rewrite historical reporting.

Nimriz stores partner assignment as operational link metadata and stores click-time partner context for reporting. This keeps historical reports stable when a partner name, program label, or link configuration changes later.

Important behavior:

  • One active partner assignment is supported per link.
  • Paused or archived partners are hidden from new assignment by default.
  • Paused or archived programs are hidden from new assignment by default.
  • Applying program defaults copies current metadata onto the link.
  • Future program edits do not rewrite link fields already saved on a link.
  • Public API partner fields are not documented for general use yet. Use the dashboard unless Nimriz support has given you a supported integration path.

Traffic reporting

Partner traffic reporting shows clicks grouped by partner, program, link, geography, source, referrer, device, and trigger type where those privacy-safe fields are available.

Traffic reporting uses click-time snapshots. If a partner is renamed after clicks happened, historical rows remain explainable because Nimriz captured partner and program context when the click occurred.

Common traffic metrics include:

  • total clicks
  • selected clicks after filters
  • human clicks
  • bot clicks
  • short-link clicks
  • QR scan clicks
  • partner and program share of selected traffic
  • top links, countries, sources, referrers, and devices

Bot filtering changes which clicks are selected for the current report, but bot traffic stays visible so operators can review it.

Conversion reporting

Partner conversion reporting uses Nimriz conversion tracking. To see partner-attributed conversions:

  1. Enable conversion tracking on the relevant partner links.
  2. Capture the nim_ct click token on your destination when Nimriz can safely append it.
  3. Send signed server-side conversion events to Nimriz.
  4. Review attributed outcomes in Dashboard → Partners → Reports → Conversions.

Supported outcome types include:

  • lead
  • sale
  • refund
  • cancellation
  • reversal

Refunds, cancellations, and reversals remain visible as negative follow-on outcomes. They do not erase the original positive event.

Partner conversion reports can show:

  • partner-attributed leads and sales
  • refunds, cancellations, and reversals
  • revenue where amount and currency are present
  • conversion rate by partner and program
  • top converting links
  • conversion rows for review
  • estimated reward context when reward terms are configured

Estimated reward context is for reconciliation only. It is not approval, a payable balance, a payout, tax advice, or settlement.

Commission-ready exports

Partner exports create CSV files for external reconciliation. They are designed to help your finance, operations, or partner team review attributed conversion rows outside Nimriz.

Exports can include:

  • partner and program identifiers
  • short link and destination context
  • touch and conversion timestamps
  • event name and event classification
  • order or event IDs when provided
  • amount, currency, and quantity when provided
  • UTM and experiment context when available
  • bot flag
  • partner relationship status
  • commercial review status
  • reward-term context
  • estimated commission columns when available
  • clawback context for negative follow-on events

Exports do not include raw IP addresses or full User-Agent strings.

Nimriz does not approve, calculate final payable amounts, pay commissions, collect tax forms, create invoices, or settle funds from these files. Use the CSV with your own finance workflow, spreadsheet, accounting process, or payout provider.

Privacy and attribution behavior

Nimriz Partners follows the same privacy posture as Nimriz analytics:

  • Raw IP addresses are not stored in partner reports or exports.
  • Full User-Agent strings are not stored in partner reports or exports.
  • Partner traffic uses privacy-safe click context.
  • Conversion attribution uses signed server-side callbacks.
  • Partner reports prefer what was true at click time instead of mutable current link state.

If a destination is query-sensitive, Nimriz may avoid appending a click token to protect the redirect destination. Traffic reporting can still capture partner context for the click, but conversion attribution needs a captured token or another supported attribution path.

Lifecycle and status behavior

Partners and programs have lifecycle states:

StateBehavior
ActiveAvailable for setup flows, new assignments, reports, and exports.
PausedRetained for reports and exports, hidden from new assignment by default.
ArchivedHidden from default setup lists and retained for historical explainability.

Partners also have relationship states:

StateUse
ApprovedNormal operating relationship.
InvitedOutreach or invitation has been recorded.
DeclinedPartner declined or was not accepted.
BannedPartner should be excluded from relationship workflows.
DeactivatedRelationship is no longer active, while history remains explainable.

Relationship state can affect review posture for exports and estimates. It does not rewrite clicks, conversions, or historical reports.

Limits and non-goals

Nimriz Partners is intentionally focused on attribution, reporting, and export-ready reconciliation.

Nimriz Partners does not include:

  • native payouts
  • money movement
  • tax forms or tax reporting
  • invoice generation
  • settlement operations
  • partner portal accounts
  • embedded partner dashboards
  • hosted application forms
  • marketplace recruitment or partner discovery
  • native partner-facing landing pages
  • discount code or coupon attribution

You can still use Nimriz alongside external forms, CRMs, spreadsheets, finance systems, accounting tools, and payout providers.

Troubleshooting and common questions

I do not see Partners in my dashboard

Confirm your workspace is on Professional or Enterprise. Then confirm workspace access is enabled for partner setup. If you are not an admin, ask a workspace admin to check access or contact Nimriz support.

I can see Partners, but I cannot create programs or partners

Partner setup requires workspace access and admin permissions. Members can assign partners to links when setup is available, but partner and program management is admin-only.

A partner is missing from the link builder

The partner must be active. If the partner's primary program is paused or archived, the partner can still appear, but program context may not be available for new assignment. Check the partner and program status first.

My reports are empty

Partner reports only include clicks that happened after a partner was assigned to a link. Historical clicks before assignment are not backfilled.

Also check:

  • date range
  • partner and program filters
  • bot filter
  • domain filter
  • whether the link has received traffic since assignment

My conversions are not attributed to a partner

Check that:

  • the link has an active partner assignment
  • conversion tracking is enabled on that link
  • your destination captured the nim_ct token
  • your server sent a signed conversion event
  • the event time is inside the attribution window
  • the report date range includes the conversion time

If Nimriz could not safely append nim_ct to the destination URL, conversion attribution may not be available for that click.

I cannot request a partner export

Partner exports require Professional or Enterprise, workspace export access, and a role allowed to export reports. Partner conversion reporting must also be available because the export is generated from partner-attributed conversion rows.

I changed a partner name. Will old reports change?

No. Historical reports use click-time partner context where available. Current partner and program records can still help with labels and filters, but they do not rewrite what was true when a click happened.

Does Nimriz calculate and pay commissions?

No. Nimriz exports attributed conversion rows, review context, reward-term context, and optional estimated values for external reconciliation. Your team remains responsible for approving, calculating final payable amounts, paying partners, issuing tax forms, and creating invoices outside Nimriz.
