Document pages

Publish PDF-first hosted pages with branded short links, QR codes, inline preview, and privacy-safe download analytics.

Document pages

Document pages let you publish a PDF-first hosted page directly inside Nimriz. Each page gets its own branded short link and QR code, so you can share a clean public document experience without sending visitors to a third-party file host or page builder.

Because the page is tied to a standard Nimriz short link, you can keep updating the document after you print or share the QR. The outward-facing share object stays the short link and QR, while the page itself is served on a Nimriz page URL.

Before you start

Have these ready before you create a document page:

  • A connected short-link domain in your workspace.
  • The primary PDF you want visitors to see first.
  • Any optional supporting PDFs you want to offer as extra downloads.
  • A page title and short description for the hosted page shell around the document.

Document pages always create and own their own short link. That short link is the recommended share surface for campaigns, QR placements, and analytics review.

What a document page includes

Each document page includes:

  • One primary PDF
  • Optional supporting PDFs
  • A branded short link
  • A downloadable QR from the owning short-link record
  • A public hosted page at /p/{publicId}

The short link remains the recommended share surface because it preserves standard Nimriz tracking and QR behavior.

Creating a document page

  1. Go to Pages in the sidebar.
  2. Click New page.
  3. Choose Document page if your workspace can create more than one page type.
  4. Select the Domain and optional custom slug for the short link that will own the page.
  5. Add a Page title and optional description.
  6. Upload the primary PDF.
  7. Add any optional supporting PDFs.
  8. Save the page as a draft, or publish it immediately.

The editor also includes light/dark theme controls and a live preview panel that uses the same render path as the public page.

Drafts, publishing, and sharing

  • Draft keeps the page out of normal public circulation while you finish the content.
  • Published makes the page available from the page's short link and QR code.
  • Updating a published document page does not require a new QR code. The short link stays the same, so printed material keeps working.

If you distribute the QR on print, update the page content rather than creating a second page. That preserves analytics continuity and avoids multiple public URLs for the same asset.

Supported uploads

Document pages currently support:

  • PDF only
  • Up to 10 MiB per file

The primary document is required before you can publish the page. Supporting files are optional.

Supporting PDFs use the same hosted-page file pipeline as the primary PDF. Treat them as companion downloads such as price sheets, addenda, forms, or supporting handouts.

Public page behavior

The public document page is:

  • Standalone: no dashboard navigation or account UI
  • Mobile-friendly: optimized for QR scans and short-link visits
  • No login required: anyone with the link or QR can view it

When the browser supports PDF preview, the page shows the primary document inline. A direct open/download action is always available, and supporting PDFs are shown as separate downloads.

Pages always show the Nimriz footer in this version.

Lead capture

Professional and Enterprise workspaces can place a lead capture gate before the document page. The gate can require one or more of name, email, phone, and company, then reveal the page after a successful submit.

See Lead capture gates for setup, export, and troubleshooting details.

Analytics

Document pages keep Nimriz's two-layer tracking model:

Redirect-layer analytics

When someone clicks the short link or scans the QR, Nimriz records the normal short-link event, including QR scans as qr_scan.

Page engagement analytics

Once the visitor reaches the hosted page, Nimriz records:

  • page_view
  • file_download

These events remain tied back to the owning short link. IP addresses are handled with Nimriz's privacy-safe analytics pipeline rather than stored raw.

Managing and deleting document pages

Open Pages, then select the page you want to update. The editor includes:

  • Primary and supporting PDF management
  • Theme controls
  • A live preview panel
  • Draft and publish controls

Deleting a document page also removes the short link that belongs to that page. If you want to keep the short link, edit the page instead of deleting it.

Troubleshooting

I cannot publish the page

  • Confirm the page has a title and a primary PDF.
  • Confirm the workspace has at least one connected domain.
  • Re-upload the PDF if the file appears attached but preview/download actions are missing.

The page opens but the PDF does not preview inline

Browser PDF preview support varies. Nimriz still shows a direct open/download action even when inline preview is unavailable.

My supporting files are missing

Supporting files must be PDFs. If a file was uploaded in another format or the upload was interrupted, remove it and upload the PDF again.

I need to capture leads before the download

Lead capture is available on Professional and Enterprise plans. Turn it on in the page editor, then choose the fields you want to require before the visitor can reach the page.
