Account and profile deletion
Understand workspace deletion, personal deletion, restore windows, and retention limits.
Account and profile deletion
Nimriz separates workspace-level deletion from personal profile deletion. This guide explains what each one does and what can still be recovered.
Two different actions
Delete a workspace account
This is the organization-level action. It affects the workspace, its links, and the people working inside it.
Delete your personal profile
This removes your personal user presence from Nimriz. It is not the same as deleting an entire workspace.
What usually happens immediately
Once a deletion request starts, expect access to be restricted quickly. The product may block normal use while the request is pending so that the workspace or profile cannot keep changing during the deletion window.
Restore window
If your workspace or profile supports a recovery window, restore it before the deadline shown in the product. After the grace period ends, deletion becomes permanent.
Important limitations
- deleting a workspace does not mean every historical report can be recreated later
- privacy-aware analytics retention and rollups may not behave like a full long-term backup
- some data can be intentionally unrecoverable after the grace window closes
Before you delete
Make sure you:
- export or copy anything your team still needs
- notify teammates if the action affects a shared workspace
- confirm whether you need to transfer ownership instead of deleting
Team-specific safeguards
If you are the last owner of a workspace, the product may block destructive actions until ownership is transferred or another owner exists.
If you need to undo deletion
Use the restore or recovery path shown in the product before the deadline expires. If the UI says the request can no longer be restored, treat that as final unless support tells you otherwise.
When to contact support
Contact support if:
- the wrong workspace or profile was marked for deletion
- the restore path is missing even though you should still be inside the grace window
- you need help understanding what data will remain after deletion
